How is kyphoplasty performed?<\/b><\/h2>\n

Kyphoplasty is performed under general or local anesthesia. After the patient is comfortably positioned and completely asleep or sedated, a CONA kyphoplasty specialist:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Begins surgery.<\/strong> Tissues are gently retracted.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Accesses the fractures.<\/strong> A cannula and trocar are carefully inserted into the fractured area under x-ray guidance.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Improve vertebral height.<\/strong> A tiny balloon is positioned in the fractured area and slowly inflated to elevate the vertebral body. <\/span><\/li>\n
