Hip arthroscopy is a minimally invasive treatment option that treats many hip injuries and conditions including Femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI) and hip labral tears.\u00a0 Typically this treatment is considered only when patients have not had improvement with conservative treatment modalities such as structured physical therapy.\u00a0 Our physical therapy team at CONA is experienced in treatment of hip conditions to avoid surgery, as well as rehabilitation of our hip arthroscopy patients after surgery.\u00a0 Patients who experience hip pain are encouraged to make an appointment with a Carolina Orthopaedic and Neurosurgical Associates (CONA) hip specialist to receive an official diagnosis and find out if this is an appropriate treatment option.<\/p>\n

General or regional anesthesia is used so no pain or discomfort is felt during surgery. A CONA specialist:<\/p>\n The type and severity of the injury or condition determine total procedure time.
