About Elbow Tenotomyscopy

What is it and how is it performed?

Elbow Tenotomy Overview

Elbow tenotomy treats severe tennis and golfer’s elbow that does not respond to nonsurgical treatment. Carolina Orthopaedic and Neurosurgical Associates’ (CONA) upper extremity specialist perform endoscopic and traditional elbow tenotomy procedures.

How is elbow tenotomy performed?

Elbow tenotomy is performed as an outpatient procedure under general anesthesia. After the patient is comfortably positioned and completely asleep, a CONA upper extremity specialist removes the unhealthy and inflamed tendon part and attaches the healthy part to the elbow bone.

What does elbow tenotomy treat?

Elbow tenotomy treats severe tennis and golfer’s elbow. Symptoms that dramatically improve after the procedure include:

  • Pain
  • Stiffness
  • Tenderness

Patients are able use their elbow with minimal to restrictions after a complete recovery is made.

Make an Appointment with An Elbow Specialist

Please make an appointment with a CONA upper extremity specialist if you suffer from tennis or golfer’s elbow and would like a treatment solution.

These are the best group of doctors that myself & my family have ever been treated by in this field of medicine. They listen to how you feel instead of telling you how you feel. Thank you all for your caring & kindness.
